ABOUT KIRIE
Due to COVID, the Philippines has a rigorous lockdown. As part of the mental health support for families, especially children and the elderly, experiencing a prolonged lockdown (more than five months), an online paper-cutting workshop was held from November 10-15, 2020, where 80 people participated, with 247 Kiries produced.
Through paper cutting, which is Japanese culture, we draw a way of life in a new environment with a promising future.
This workshop has been organized by NPO-FootRoots and sponsored by ASIA CENTER JAPAN FOUNDATION, OMIRAKUZA (Jesuit Project), UCHRRC, and Ho Tong Foundation Inc.
